Assoc Prof. Dr. Emine Petekkaya, Kastamonu University, Turkey
Dr. Petekkaya began her educational journey by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Harran University’s Şanlıurfa Health School in June 2004. She later expanded her academic horizons by pursuing multiple degrees. She earned her first Master’s degree in Anatomy (Medical) from the Institute of Health Sciences at Harran University in August 2007, with a thesis titled “Chorda umbilicalis and the investigation of the relationship between placental morphology and anthropometric measurements of the newborn.”
Continuing her quest for knowledge, she obtained another Master’s degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Genetics from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University in 2022. Her thesis focused on “Volumetric Investigation Of Brain Areas Related To The Sense Of Smell In Neurodegenerative Diseases And Investigation Of The Level Of Neuropeptide In Peripheral Blood.” In May 2023, she completed yet another Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the same university, with her research on “Evaluation Of Temporal Lob Deficities In Individuals With Alzheimer’s Disease In Terms Of Voxel-Based Morphometric Measurement Method And Neurohypophysial Peptides.”
