Dr. Elsayed Mohamed Ahmed Sherif is a distinguished professor and corrosion expert, renowned for his extensive research in materials science and engineering, particularly in the field of corrosion and corrosion protection of metals and alloys. His professional journey spans over three decades, marked by significant contributions to academia and industry.

Dr. Sherif began his academic pursuits with a strong foundation in chemistry, earning his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from Zagazig University, Benha Branch, Egypt, in 1991. He continued his education with a Master of Science degree in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry from Zagazig University, where his research focused on the galvanic corrosion of Al-Cu couples. Subsequently, he pursued a Ph.D. degree at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, where his doctoral thesis delved into the electrochemical studies on the pitting corrosion of copper in aqueous solutions, demonstrating his early commitment to the study of corrosion phenomena.
