Professional Profiles:

Education:

From February 2019 to July 2022, I pursued my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. My dissertation focused on enhancing the tribological performance of rapeseed bio-lubricants using modified Eichhornia crassipes nanoparticles additives. Prior to this, I completed my Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a Thermo-fluid option at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, from April 2014 to June 2017. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering from Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, which I completed from March 2003 to November 2008.

EXPERIENCE:

From February 2019 to July 2022, I pursued my doctoral studies at the Automotive Development Centre, School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. My research focused on the tribological performance enhancement of rapeseed bio-lubricants using modified Eichhornia crassipes nanoparticles additives. Since September 2018, I have been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Marine/Mechanical Engineering at Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. In this role, I have taught courses such as Power Plant Engineering, Engineering Thermodynamics, and Thermo-fluid Engineering. Additionally, I have worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Advanced Research on Energy, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Hang Tuah Jaya, 76100, Durian Tunggal, Melaka, Malaysia, focusing on the formulation and testing of eco-friendly nano-lubricants for electric vehicle applications.

RESEARCH INTEREST:

My expertise lies in the field of tribology, which encompasses various aspects of friction, lubrication, and wear in mechanical systems. I have specialized knowledge in bio-lubricants, particularly in their formulation and application. My research includes the development of additives using nanotechnology to enhance the performance of lubricants. Additionally, I have studied the effects of dry friction and wear on different materials, with a focus on understanding surface modification techniques to improve their tribological properties.
