Assoc Prof Dr. Edgar Mosquera Universidad Del Valle,Colombia

Dr. Edgar Eduardo Mosquera-Vargas is a Colombian physicist with a passion for exploring the intricate world of nanomaterials and their applications in various scientific domains. Born in Colombia, Dr. Mosquera-Vargas embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from Universidad Surcolombiana. This laid the foundation for his subsequent pursuit of higher education in the field of Physics.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, where he delved into the study of optical properties of semiconductors under the guidance of Dr. Weiji Jia. Driven by a thirst for deeper understanding, he furthered his studies and earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. His doctoral research, supervised by Dr. Carlos Marín, focused on utilizing Raman spectroscopy to probe nanoscale liquid structures and track solidification processes, contributing significantly to the field.
