Since August 2015, they have served as the Senior Health Physicist and Head of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre’s Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory. Prior to this, from 2008 to August 2015, they were the Director of the Radiological Physics Division and Manager of the Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory at the Atomic Energy Commission / Nuclear Research Centre of Algiers. In addition, from 2006 to 2007, they held the position of Head of the Medical Physics Department at the Atomic Energy Commission / Nuclear Research Centre of Algiers. Dr. [Name] also has a long history with the Algerian Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory, where they served as the Head from 1999 to 2015 and as the Quality Manager. Dr. [Name] has been involved in a wide range of activities related to the design, commissioning, and quality assurance of radiation facilities and dosimetry laboratories. They have designed Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratories (SSDLs) for numerous African, Arabic, and Asian countries, including bunker design, shielding calculations, layout drawings, and the selection of irradiation facilities and dosimetry equipment, with this work ongoing until 2021. Dr. [Name] has also designed experimental setups and ancillary equipment for the Algerian and Saudi Arabian SSDLs since 1992. Additionally, they have performed shielding calculations for five Radiotherapy Centers in Algeria from 2008 to 2014, six worldwide SSDLs from 2007 to 2021, and Nuclear Medicine Departments from 2019 to 2022. They commissioned the first two linear accelerators installed at the Algerian Radiotherapy Centers (VARIAN – CLINAC 1800) in 1993 and conducted quality control of Cobalt-60 units and linear accelerators at the national level in Algeria from 1993 to 2000. In 2006, Dr. [Name] established an External Audit Group (EAG) responsible for conducting the audit of radiotherapy beams in Algeria using thermoluminescent dosimeters.
