Torikul Islam is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in biomedical engineering and neuroengineering. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, he focuses on developing automated devices for vergence therapy in Convergence insufficiency patients, utilizing his expertise in machine learning and statistical analysis. As the Founder & Researcher at Bio-neural Intelligence and Research Advancement Laboratory in Bangladesh, Torikul leads research on epilepsy, emotion, and bio signal/image processing, while supervising and teaching undergraduate students. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering underway and a B.Sc. from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Torikul demonstrates proficiency in coding, machine learning, and simulation tools. Recognized with awards such as the Best Paper Award from the IEOM Society International, Torikul remains committed to advancing neuroengineering and bio-photonics through innovative research and academic contributions. Additionally, his participation in professional development programs, including the Aspire Leaders Program from Harvard Business School and Writing in the Sciences from Stanford University, reflects his dedication to continuous learning and growth.
