Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Fatimah College since 2022, her prior roles include serving as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Ajman University (UAE) from 2018 to 2022 and as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Princess Nora University in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2018. In the years 2013 to 2015, she held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Drug Discovery and Development Department in the USA, working under the guidance of Dr. Vishnu Suppiramaniam. Dr. Buabeid’s academic journey began with a Ph.D. at Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy, focusing on the interplay between prenatal nicotine exposure and the glutamatergic-cholinergic system. Her educational background also includes an M.Phil. in Neuropharmacology from the University of Manchester and a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Tripoli, Libya.
